Our ships visit port cities throughout the world, supplying vital literature resources, providing practical help and aid, and encouraging cross-cultural understanding. Crew receive life-changing training, while sharing a message of hope in God with those they meet.
Since 1970, OM’s Ship Ministry has brought the world’s largest floating book fairs to nearly 500 individual ports in more than 150 countries. Over the last five decades, more than 49 million visitors have come aboard our vessels. While the ships are in port teams visit communities to offer practical help and the hope of the gospel alongside local churches and partner agencies.

Two ships to share God's love
The Logos Hope is OM’s largest ship which launched into active service in 2009. Today, Logos Hope visits ports around the world for several weeks at a time. On average, over one million visitors have been welcomed on board every year!
The Doulos Hope launched in 2023, bringing many fresh and exciting advantages to this ministry. This smaller vessel can operate in shallower waters and access ports that have been beyond the reach of her sister ship.

WAYS TO PRAY FOR THE SHIP MINISTRY
Gather a group of fellow believers in Christ or pray on your own for the communities the ship ministry connects with.
Pray for the port communities to respond with excitement and anticipation as the crew shares the love of Christ with them. Pray also for good partnerships with community leaders and local churches.
Pray for more short and long term crew members to come on-board the ships to enable greater outreach.

Live, work and serve in an international community and partake in an amazing cross-cultural ministry experience that will change the way you see the world and your part in God’s plan.
We offer 1-2 year commitment programmes, which are not only vital in keeping our ships running, but are also a great opportunity for you to develop your skills, giftings and discover your passions in life. You’ll receive on-the-job training for work in your department, have the opportunity to interact with port communities in ‘Connect Days,’ and deepen your faith through community activities and seminars, as you grow in your knowledge of the great God we serve.
