We are seek for a Secondary Relief Coordinator and Teacher who will be responsible for the general oversight of relief (teacher absence/substitute)
The Relief Coordinator and Teacher is responsible for the general oversight of relief (e.g., teacher absences and substitute class management). He/she plays a pivotal role in ensuring quality lessons and coverage continue on a day-to-day basis even when faculty are absent.
The Relief Coordinator and Teacher is responsible not only for day-to-day organisation of relief but also for covering secondary classes of diverse subjects and having excellent classroom management skills.
-Liaising with teachers to ensure continuity of learning in their absence.
-Ensuring that teachers have uploaded lessons or provided materials to continue learning during unexpected absences.
-Monitoring the uploading and use of casual relief plans on Google Drive.
-Notifying teachers when in need of renewal or supplementation of such relief plans.
-Maintaining discipline and monitor students’s activities during study hall and relief lessons, providing feedback to affected teachers.
-Printing and disseminating resources to students during study hall or relief lessons.
-Invigilating tests as per requests of teachers.
-Maintaining discipline and monitoring students’s activities during study hall and relief lessons.
-Using appropriate software to prepare and release daily relief plans in a timely manner as per list of absentees.
-When unable to monitor relief lessons directly, assigning relief to other teachers when the study hall is full or unavailable.
-Tracking the number of relief hours/lessons asked of each staff member to ensure equality.
-Assisting the school leadership with clerical work such as printing, photocopying, proofreading of documents, and basic data entry.
-On days of no relief or limited relief, being assigned to other duties.
-Connect with locals and lead a small group outside of school working hours
Requirements
-Relevant qualifications and experience in the field of education, preferably with demonstrated leadership experience.
-Curiosity and interest in continuous learning in the field of education, as well as other subjects.
-Experience in supervising others and handling human resources issues.
-Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
