This project will expose you to the rich history and wonderful culture of the Korean peninsula, while living missionally.
The One Korea (OK) Project purposes to help you gain a clear and informed understanding of: the history of missions throughout the Korean peninsula; current mission efforts in the South and to the North; all while helping you discern meaningful opportunities for future ministry involvement.
During this phase of the OKAY Project you can expect to spend time each week learning about:
• Korean culture and language
• the history of missions in Korea
• the Korean War (and the division on the peninsula)
• and missions training.
Participants will also:
• learn about and practice prayer for unification (including participating in prayer walks and visits to the DMZ)
• have opportunities to fellowship with Koreans and friends from the North.
• explore Seoul on City Hunting days (days built into the schedule to explore historical and tourist destinations)
• help plan and participate in outreach events for friends from the North in (South) Korea.
• and join in the Asian Highway vision trip.
** Certain activities are subject to change depending on security and the number of participants.
