a) Strategic Leadership
i) Develop and steward a global marketing and communications framework that aligns with the organisation’s mission and strategy while allowing for contextual adaptation.
ii) Provide strategic advice to international leadership on reputation, brand and external engagement.
iii) Exercise influence through collaboration and credibility.
iv) Facilitate consistent application of branding globally.
b) Leadership and Management
The role involves strategic oversight and line management of teams of communications and marketing specialists, which teams comprise:
i) Marketing
Promote strategic and effective messaging, engagement and mobilisation across regions and platforms.
Includes mobilisation marketing, social media & web marketing, creative services and translation services.
ii) Communications
Ensure clear, timely and culturally appropriate global messaging.
Includes external and internal communications, media & PR management, and crisis communications.
iii) Advisory
Provide strategic marketing and communication advisory support to national and regional teams.
Brand Advisory: Steward global brand identity and core messaging.
iv) Project Management
Gate keep and prioritise international marketing and communications work.
Ensure alignment with strategy, capacity, and agreed processes.
c) Collaboration and Relationship Management
i) Work closely with international, regional and national leaders to support shared goals.
ii) Partner and collaborate across functions (e.g., executive communications, mobilisation, resourcing, field ministries) to ensure integrated communications.
iii) Build trust based relationships across the global organisation.
d) Governance, Stewardship and Accountability
i) Ensure marketing and communications activities meet organisational policies, legal requirements (including on data protection) and ethical standards.
ii) Provide clear reporting to senior leadership.
iii) Manage budgets and resource allocation effectively.

Funding Model
* This role forms part of the organisation’s senior
international missionary workforce and is primarily
funded through personal support raised by the
postholder, in line with OM International’s practice.
* OM International will provide support and
accountability to enable sustainable long‑term
service in this role.
