A couple or family is needed in Fushë-Arrëz, Albania!
Looking for a new opportunity to use your God-given skills in creative ways amongst children or youth, or in ministering to women or men? We are seeking an Albanian-speaking couple or family (or willing to learn Albanian!) to assist with ministry in the mountainous town of Fushë-Arrëz, located in northern Albania. We have existing opportunities to help lead Sunday services, the weekly Bible study and prayer time, one-on-one discipleship, as well as regular kids' meetings and an exercise ministry for women. However, we are also open to new ways of doing ministry to reach more people in the community, whether you have a special, trained skill or are just available for God to use you in creative ways to shine Jesus’ light on this precious community. Reach out for more details! We are praying for the right couple or family to join! Interested? We would love to talk to you about what God can do through YOU and the family of God planted in this little town.
History of Kisha e Mbretit (King’s Church).
An Assemblies of God organization called Light Force International came to northern Albania, specifically to the town of Fushë-Arrëz. They founded the evangelical church called Kisha e Mbretit (King’s Church) in 1991 or 1992. Initially, the church was led by British pastors, but later it was overseen by different Albanian pastors and leaders. This is the only evangelical church in Fushë-Arrëz, a town of 3000 people, and in the surrounding areas. Many people have come to know Jesus through the ministry here over the years. Although many Albanian Christians have left Fushë-Arrëz due to job opportunities, marriage, or better prospects in other places, many of them continue to be strong in their faith. The church is currently small, but it has been actively involved in various ministries, including offering physical therapy to the community, kids ministry, hosting women’s meetings and doing weekly exercise ministry, prayer meetings, and Bible studies as well as one-on-one discipleship and other evangelistic outreaches.
