Greater Caucasus
The Greater Caucasus region is largely unreached.
There are many cities, towns and villages with no known believers or any opportunity to hear the gospel. Together with local partners, OM workers will mobilize workers to see vibrant communities in this least reached region. Over 23.4 million people live in the countries of Azerbaijan, Georgia (including Abkhazia), Armenia, Republics in the North Caucasus Federal District of Russia: Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia. The religious landscape is diverse, with some countries having a large Shia Muslim presence and others some having a large Sunni Muslim presence.
WAYS TO PRAY FOR THE Greater Caucasus
Gather a group of fellow believers in Christ or pray on your own for those who don't yet know God's love.
Pray for unity for the churches in the Greater Caucasus.
Many people from these nations live and work abroad or have been displaced due to conflict. Pray that they will meet Jesus followers who will share the love of Jesus with them.
Give thanks for the ministry of OM teams in the area and the fruits of their labours they are now seeing.
Pray for more disciples and for communities of Jesus followers to grow among the least reached people in the Caucasus.
