We are seeking a Part-Time Primary School Counsellor to support student well-being and deliver a preventative pastoral care and counselling programme
Key Responsibilities include:
-Individual student counselling (stress, conflict, wellbeing, academic pressure)
-Design and deliver whole-school programmes (Life Skills, Health, Mental Health Awareness, exam support)
-Small groups and presentations (bullying, grief, self-worth, social skills, resilience)
-Partner with families and support student goal-setting and future planning
-Collaborate with staff and leadership in critical incidents and student care planning
Uphold safeguarding procedures and maintain confidential counselling records
- Connect with locals and start a small group outside of working hours
We are looking for someone who is:
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in school counselling, education, or a related field.
-Student-centered, compassionate, and professional
-Skilled in adolescent counselling and preventative education
-A strong collaborator with staff and families
-Committed to child safeguarding and confidentiality
-Able to serve within a Christian school environment
