Position tile: Content Producer.
Status: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Assessed to align with band 2 of the OM Canada team compensation policy (2026 FTE: $3,121.20 - $4,681.80). The successful candidate will need to raise an agreed proportion of the finance required to fund this position.

KEY RESULT AREAS (KRAS)
1. Content Creation and Management
In conjunction with the Communications and Marketing Department, plan, schedule, and produce content for our Canadian audience.
Core Activities
• Through research, interviews, and provided material, craft thoughtful and engaging content pieces such as news articles, stories, fundraising appeals, advertising pieces, and any other required content pieces for use in print and digital media.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar ensuring content is scheduled, produced, and published on time.
• Develop and implement strategies to engage our Canadian audience through content creation.
• Work with other departments to create required content and to update current internal and external communication pieces.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of content by effectively utilizing reporting tools such as Google Analytics, email reporting tools, and CRM software.
2. Content Design & Publishing
Core Activities
• Design and produce print material such as booklets, magazines, and brochures.
• Update and post new content on our website and on social media channels.
• Design and publish email newsletters and appeals for our audience.
3. Industry Developments and Evaluating Trends
Core Activities
• Working with the Communications Department, develop a range of strategies to increase our reach and engagement by evaluating current status and trends.
• Maintain a knowledge of developments, innovations, and new technology in the communications and marketing field and identify any that may benefit OM Canada.
• Communicating with and keeping updated on OM International’s global marketing efforts and campaigns.
4. Other Responsibilities
Core Activities
• Identify relevant and compelling stories and content pieces for use in our communication initiatives.
• Work with the Communications Department to broaden awareness of OM’s work in Canada and around the world.
• Ensure all content adheres to the OM brand guidelines and aligns with OM Canada’s mission and vision.
• Work with the Communications Department to support the needs of all OM Canada’s efforts, filling in as needed.
• Fulfill other duties as required.

• Maintain regular contact with your prayer partners, financial supporters and sending church(es) - developing relationships that minister to them and further your partnership with them.
• Develop your prayer and financial support base on a continual basis by asking individuals, groups and churches to join your support team as you have opportunity.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Preferred Requirements & Values
• Bachelor’s degree in communications/writing or equivalent combination of professional and academic experience preferred
• Two years of content creation experience for various types of audiences
• Two years working in a team environment meeting schedules and deadlines
• Excellent grasp of the Canadian English language, both verbal and written
• Excellent writing and editing skills for various audiences
• Excellent ability to manage time and multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
• Excellent ability to work independently and to take initiative
• Strong teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in innovate thinking and ability to generate new ideas
• Ability to learn new skills
• Ability to speak and write Canadian French is an asset.
• Experience writing grants is an asset.
Technical Competencies
• Proficiency in using various other applications such as the Microsoft Office 365 programs, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Cloud, file sharing systems.
• Understanding and experience crafting posts for various social media audiences and platforms.
• Good understanding of current communications and marketing trends and requirements for print and digital pieces.
• Experience using website content management systems such as WordPress is an asset.
• Experience using email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact is an asset.
• Graphic design skills is an asset.
Limits of Authority
Authorized to fulfill assigned tasks, research, and reporting responsibilities within established guidelines and under the supervision of the Director of Communication & Marketing.
Does not hold signing or decision-making authority for funding agreements or strategic direction.
Environmental Aspects
This position may be performed at OM Canada’s head office or remotely. Occasional travel may be required.
Evaluation / Appraisal
Performance will be reviewed annually by the Director of Communication & Marketing, based on achievement in the KRAs listed above.
