Help OM Norway strengthen our website so more people can discover OM, engage with mission, and take their next steps.
OM Norway is looking for a Website Developer to help strengthen our digital presence and make it easier for people to discover OM, engage with God’s mission, and take practical next steps. You will support our communications work by developing and improving our website with care for clarity, usability, and reach.
About the role
As Website Developer, you will help strengthen OM Norway’s web presence so people can find clear information, read stories from the field, and take meaningful next steps—praying, giving, volunteering, or applying. You’ll work closely with our communications team to develop and improve our website using Drupal and WordPress, apply best practices in SEO and analytics, and ensure the site remains clear, reliable, and easy to use. Your web development, communication, and relational skills will have a global impact — helping people connect with God’s mission and strengthening our ministry worldwide. You’ll join OM Norway’s team — small now, but growing — and collaborate with colleagues and partners from around the world as we build a clear, trustworthy, and effective digital presence.
Local ministry involvement
In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in OM Norway’s local ministry. Besides being a sending field, OM Norway is now deeply involved in reaching out to immigrants and refugees living in Norway. Weekly activities for our team involve teaching Norwegian in our language school (three days a week), language cafés separate for men and women, Discovery Bible Studies and prayer meetings. Every year we arrange a free Children’s Camp for local kids, and every month we have a gathering of Muslim families in our homes. We are in a pioneering work of church planting, always seeking new ways of reaching out to the community.
Key responsibilities
· Develop, improve, and maintain OM Norway’s website (Drupal and WordPress) in close collaboration with the communications team.
· Build and refine pages, layouts, and components using HTML, JavaScript and CSS, with attention to responsive design.
· Support campaign and event pages so people can quickly understand opportunities and take next steps (prayer, giving, volunteering, applying).
· Improve site structure, navigation, and user experience so content is easy to find and understand.
· Apply best practices for SEO and use web analytics to guide ongoing improvements.
· Troubleshoot issues and support content editors with web-related questions and simple workflows.
· Help adapt and publish selected OM International resources for an OM Norway audience (including light localisation/formatting support as needed).
· Maintain quality, consistency, and good stewardship of the website as a key platform for mission mobilisation.
Qualifications
· Experience with web design and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript and CSS).
· Experience with Drupal CMS.
· Experience with WordPress.
· Experience with SEO / Web Analytics.
· Fluent in English.
· Preferred: Experience with social media for a brand/organisation/company.
· Preferred: Additional languages (German, French or Spanish) (spoken/written or sign).
We are looking for you who
· Love Jesus and have an intimate fellowship with Him.
· Have a heart for missions and a desire to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.
· Enjoy building clear, reliable digital tools that help people take action.
· Are organised, proactive, and willing to take initiative.
· Are committed to serve 1–2 years in this role.
