Film and edit engaging videos for OM Norway - from summer camp and annual meeting to seasonal campaigns - and help build a structured video library.
Do you love creating videos that move hearts and help people take a next step? OM Norway is looking for an Event Videographer and Editor to create engaging video content for campaigns, events, and ongoing ministry - and to build a reusable library of video resources for the future.
Role details
Part time, Norway-based with flexible hours around filming days. Some evenings/weekends. Commitment 1-2 years (or by agreement).
About the role
As Event Videographer and Editor, you will plan, film, and edit content that supports OM Norway’s ministry and mobilisation. You’ll create promotional videos for summer camp, annual meeting, Christmas and Easter campaigns, and short-form content for Reels and YouTube. You’ll also record interviews (staff, volunteers, participants) and produce stories suitable for a Norwegian audience. A key part of the role is maintaining a well-organised video library and supporting localisation of OM International video content with Norwegian subtitles (working with translators).
Local ministry involvement
In addition, you will be able to engage in our local ministry in OM Norway. Besides being a sending field, OM Norway is now deeply involved in reaching out to immigrants and refugees living in Norway. Weekly activities for our team involve teaching Norwegian in our language school (three days a week), language cafes separate for men and women, Discovery Bible Studies and prayer meetings. Every year we arrange a free Children’s Camp for local kids, and every month we have a gathering of Muslim families in our homes. We are in a pioneering work of church planting, always seeking new ways of reaching out to the community.
Key responsibilities
· Film key OM Norway events and outreaches, capturing both atmosphere and clear, usable story material.
· Create promotional videos for summer camp, annual meeting, and seasonal campaigns (Christmas and Easter).
· Plan and record interviews (staff, volunteers, guests) and edit into engaging story pieces.
· Edit videos for multiple platforms (Reels, YouTube, Vimeo, website) with strong pacing and clear calls to action.
· Mix and clean audio; add music responsibly; colour-correct and export in agreed formats.
· Create and manage subtitles (including working with translators for Norwegian subtitles for OM International videos).
· Organise footage, project files, and final exports into a structured video library that can be reused long-term.
· Collaborate closely with the Communications Manager and Field Leader to align content with priorities and messaging.
· Follow consent, safeguarding, and confidentiality guidelines, especially when filming vulnerable communities.
Qualifications
· Experience filming and editing videos (portfolio required; professional or strong volunteer work).
· Confidence with camera work, composition, lighting basics, and capturing good audio on location.
· Competence in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro; After Effects and Audition are an advantage) or equivalent tools.
· Experience editing for social media (vertical formats, Reels/Shorts) and for longer-form video (YouTube/Vimeo).
· Experience creating subtitles and working with text and timing (SRT or platform tools).
· Strong storytelling instincts: can shape raw footage into clear, engaging, mission-minded content.
· Good file management habits and ability to maintain a well-structured media library.
· Fluent in English; Norwegian is an advantage (or willingness to learn).
· A personal commitment to follow OM’s values and safeguarding practices.
We are looking for you who
· Love Jesus and have an intimate fellowship with Him.
· Have a heart for missions and a desire to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.
· Enjoy using your skills to serve behind the scenes with excellence and humility.
· Are reliable, proactive, and willing to take initiative.
· Are comfortable working cross-culturally and in a team.
· Are committed to serve at least one year in this role (preferably 1-2 years).
