Finance Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle the processes for all receipts, payments & general journals and input the data in the system.
• Update accounting system regularly, generate and send out receipts.
• Ensure that cash is accurately accounted for all cash transactions and cheques deposit on a regular basis.
• Attend to donors and other finance related emails.
• Manage bills and staff claims and make payments via internet banking/cheques.
• Generate Monthly Stewardship Reports & make payments within the required time.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of statement, bank balance and balance sheet items.
• Prepare monthly reports and schedules.
• Ensure that the necessary financial information is provided to the appropriate users of financial information.
• Update Fixed Assets Register regularly.
• Maintain proper filing of accounting documents.
• Prepare audit schedules, arrange documents for audit and handle audit queries.
• Assist in preparation of annual budget when necessary
• Any other finance related work as assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

• Contribute to other functions for OM Singapore (e.g. OM events, church engagements, mission workshops etc.)
• Team Commitments (e.g. Devotions, Team Duties, Team Events etc.)

• Support base development: Actively develop and maintain a prayer and financial support base for your ministry with OM in order to resource your ministry and that of OM Singapore with prayer and financial resources.

Job Requirements and Competencies:

• As OM Singapore is a faith-based, non-profitable mission organisation, kindly note this is a support-raising position.
• This position is for Singapore-based applicants only.
• A committed Jesus follower with a heart for global missions and a desire to see the local Church mobilised to reach the nations.
• Skillsets in active listening and interviewing, building and managing relationships, problem solving, negotiation.
• Ability to relate to people of all levels and background.
• Certifications in accounting and at least 1 year of relevant working experience in keeping full set of accounts.
• Proficiency in data entry and using accounting software, understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Conversant in MS Office Suite.
• Fluency in English, strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to cross-cultural environments, team player.
