Internal/External Focus:
Internal - 50% aimed at management, process and internal focus.
External - 50% aimed at leadership with an external focus.
Commitment Period:
A 4-year renewable mandate from 1 June 2027 until 1 June 3031.
Leadership transition and training with the current director is desirable (The current director is willing to assist in a transition period, with training, from January 2027.)
Requirements:
He/she must be fluent in French, proficient in English and be willing to live near the OM France office in Pontault-Combault (dept. 77).
Spiritual Leadership:
Have a passion for Jesus and be a model in life and work. Share new insights from God’s Word on a regular basis.
Team Leadership:
Give clear direction and set high standards. Committed to implementing OM's vision and values, while developing strategy with fresh input.
Be able and willing to lead with others. Inspire team members and build a strong team spirit and a culture of servanthood.
People Management:
Effectively delegate responsibility (e.g. Associate Director or Leadership team). Able to recruit, develop and motivate a team of workers.
Capable of discerning people's gifts and potential. Identify future leaders.
Build good relationships and be available for people.
Planning and Organising:
Produce and implement short- and long-term plans with the team and in collaboration with the local Church. Adjust plans to changing circumstances, if need be. Evaluate progress and set measurable goals.
Communication Skills:
Capable of speaking in public (French/English) and communicating the mission, vision and values of OM.
Strategic Management:
Have a broad overview of issues, trends and eventualities, staying focused on the long term
vision of the organisation. Set clear goals and make plans to accomplish them. Be aware of evolving French culture and the spiritual context.
Make systematic decisions based on spiritual truths and relevant information.
Motivation and Personal Development:
Have a realistic self-awareness of his/her own abilities. Know his/her own strengths and weaknesses. Be committed to his/her own personal growth and development.
Can handle constructive criticism with maturity and humility.
